I feel like the reason why dumbasses Conservatives keep thinking we’ll be able to marry dogs as the next obvious step is because they treat their women like pets, sometimes even worse than pets. 

They think they own their women, they think they own their dogs.

They want their women to fetch sandwiches, they want their dogs to fetch sticks.

They think “Well fuck I treat and love my wife as much as I do my dog so if we open the definition of marriage up even a little I might as well marry the dog!”

It’s sad and pathetic really. 

I had this theory once upon a time. I think it really comes down to good old fashioned sexism. This also falls into the same concept as when people say, “I don’t mind lesbians but I don’t want gay men any where near me.” I thought long and hard about it a while ago and I realized that to most people lesbianism isn’t scary because it’s not real. They believe that eventually that woman will need a man so bad that it drives the gay out of her. 

Whereas for a gay man, it instantly becomes something to be feared because in that homosexuality becomes real due to the fact that it has become mainstream ideology that a man either does not need a woman, or that he is better off without her.
